Adding Texture with Stitching in Art Journaling
Hello!
This week we are adding stitching to our art journal pages. Adding stitching can be done in many ways, including using your sewing machine to stitch onto papers, elements and fabrics and adhering them to your page with adhesive. Stitching can also be added by hand which is the option I chose.
I used pink embroidery floss and a needle to add french knots to the center of one of the flowers I created with Rae Missigman's new stencils.
The french knots add a touch of color but also add texture to the center of the flower. Also consider adding other types of stitches with embroidery thread such as the blanket stitch to the edge of your page or even a running stitch or cross stitch!
How will you add stitching to your page this week?
Have a blessed day!
