How to Create an Instagram Reel Using Canva

Instagram Reels Don’t Have to be Hard!

I’ve been experimenting with ways to do Instagram Reels in a way that works for me. I don't want to spend a lot of time on them but want them to be of value. I also consider what I like in a Reel and strive to emulate that.

I have found the easiest to create is one that has a few images with a transition in between. It emulates a carousel, only the viewer doesn’t have to swipe.

The idea is to set the images to play for around 4-5 seconds with a transition in between the images. This is an easy Reel to make and doesn’t require a video or anything other than a few beautiful photos.
